THE MINISTRY OF PRAISE AND WORSHIP

« Job 38:7 -When the morning stars burst forth with songs of joy, And all the sons of God shouted for joy. »

The Praise and Worship ministry is critical in creating an environment in which people will encounter and experience God. People are there to have an encounter with God, especially today when people want to connect with God.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE WORSHIP LEADER

The following is a list of qualifications that should be used as a guide in selecting a worship leader, as well as qualities that a worship leader should continually seek to exhibit in their life:

A worshiper - a daily submission to the lordship of Jesus Christ;
A profound Christian walk that has proven itself;
A knowledge of the church's song style and worship;
An acceptable level of musical ability;
A good reputation in the church;
Be able to function as a team member;
Correct attitude towards the church leaders;
A commitment to his department;
An enthusiastic and friendly personality.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE WORSHIP LEADER

To spend more time together in prayer, Bible study and fellowship
Leading worship - determining the elements and rhythm;
Give an example - show the way, not the details;
Correct - keep the focus on God;
Participate/engage in vocal, musical, leadership and teamwork training
Creating a cohesion between voices and musicians that makes worship easy for us as a team and in turn a powerful experience for the congregation
Prepare - prepare theme, songs, passages, overheads, etc.
Evangelizing in the community as a team
